Take a good long look...

....this is my classroom at 8:00 this morning on the 1st day of school...the shiny waxed floors, empty desks and pushed in chairs will never look this neat again. Soon there will be sweatshirts hanging of the backs of chairs, papers falling out of overstuffed desks, and orangy crushed doritoes crunching under my feet...ah...the life of a 5th grade para!

I "heart" summer...

Well, it's official...we have to really go back to school (after much Hurricane Irene drama)..and we spent every last minute at the pool today soaking up the sun...but all good things must come to an end....but I DO HEART SUMMER!!

Come back out, my pretties!!

....the coast is clear. All my patio plants hunkered down for the night as Hurricane Irene barreled through my backyard. Now it's time to reassemble my patio furniture and flowers for one last sunny day of summer vacation.

Saying a little prayer...

...and hoping that all my family and friends near and far have a safe night tonight. Let's hope that the "experts" are wrong and that there is little damage from Hurricane Irene.

It's a scary thing...

Leah, Lauren and myself all must face the inevitable...summer vacation is over and we must bravely head back into the halls of our schools...some us put up more of a fight than others, but in the end everyone must face their fears!

Three for the Road....

...or the river road to be exact...Christine, Linda and myself packing up and leaving the river ...and for that matter the lazy warm days of summer behind us...but we shall return next summer!

How does your garden grow?

...well, if you are my daughter, Lauren...it grows very well...but as for me, not so much which is why I am thankful that my dad and Lauren have such green thumbs because I DO love all the fresh bounty from their gardens!
