Picasso's Three Musicians...

We ended our latest session of Imagine That art camp with Picasso's Cubist wonder..."The Three Musicians"...one student said it was like playing with paper dolls only cooler...guess that means it was a success!

The Roosters are in the house....

The terrifically colorful roosters are one of my all time favorite projects...they're inspired by Picasso's Le Coq...and I think all of the students were channeling his creativity when they worked on these. I would frame each and every one of them...love...love...love the results!

A week of Glorious Watercolors....

This week the "Imagine That" art camp focused on Picasso's Peace Doves while the younger set in Pint Size Picasso had a lesson on Paul Klee's Cat and Bird...they all used vibrant washes of watercolor and the results were spectacular....cheery colors for a sunny warm week in February.

Rockin' Roosters ala Pablo...

These little artists never cease to amaze me...I give them a starting point and the results are even better than I imagined...love these Picasso inspired rockin' rollin' roosters!

Northern Lights and Polar Bears...

First class in a new session of "Imagine That Art Camp" and the kids did a terrific job...we used oil pastels, paint and chalk pastels to make the Aurora Borealis behind the shadowy tall pines...and added some adorable polar bears to the forground...perfection!

It's Like Riding a Bicycle...

I took up the art of knitting a couple of years ago, inspired by my friend, Christine's nimble fingers...but stopped for some reason...and for the life of me I could not remember how to restart and cast on again...but suddenly this week it all came back to me...I guess it is kind of like riding a bicycle...once you learn you never forget.

Decisions...decisions....

Went wedding gown shopping today with Lauren...after trying on many dresses I have come to the conclusion that picking a dress is an art...but then Lauren is a wonderful artist so I'm sure it will be beautiful!
