The Roosters are in the house....

The terrifically colorful roosters are one of my all time favorite projects...they're inspired by Picasso's Le Coq...and I think all of the students were channeling his creativity when they worked on these. I would frame each and every one of them...love...love...love the results!

  1. Very Cool! Love the oil pastel on black paper! What grade did you do these with and did you do a step X step drawing with the students first? Thanks and love your blog!

    1. These were 5th and 6th graders....I didn't do a step by step...but I made my own sample as a guideline and helped some students by drawing on the board as they followed along with chalk on their papers...then told them I wanted as much fanciful colors as they could imagine!
